A Romance at the White Spring

HOD (The Water Temple)

lyrics

I feel her in the silence
A cycad
A caesura of breath
And then immured within me
Secreted in the immortality of a moment.

When I sojourned with my love,
We knelt near the temple well,
And sang to the mass-super-sub-preconscious,
Scintillate the reservoir.

I do love myself but still in turn
Was there ever a love that didn't worm?
Am I the one you've waited for?
Have I a one true peer.

Or am I found in the other?
And in a lover's mercy,
If you ascend to a far star cluster
Would you remember me?

I love you so :||||

At the purlieu of a mise-en-abyme since,
We slumped beneath the temple yews,
Descanting the lichen converted dryads,
Condescending as the dew.

I do love myself but still in turn,
Was there ever a love that didn't yearn?
Am I the one you've wanted for?
Are we the one true pair?

Is my artificer the other?
I'd forever lated be,
If you step on through a desert vortex,
Would you remember me?

I love you so:||||
